Meet Randi
Randi Zuckerberg is an entrepreneur, investor, bestselling author, award-winning producer, and founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media and the Zuckerberg Institute — in addition to being one of the first Facebook employees and building their early marketing efforts from the ground up. She will join our Brand Advisory Council, which means she will help us:
- Allocate money to organizations helping women learn about crypto and blockchain tech
- Bring more women into crypto careers
- Support women-run crypto projects
- And more!
She’s long been passionate about inspiring and supporting women in tech, investing, and leadership. Considering crypto’s potential to create more opportunities and kickstart a more equitable system, it was only a matter of time before she’d join us in our effort to build a more inclusive future of finance. 💪
Delivering on crypto’s inclusivity promises
At Okcoin building an inclusive future of finance means delivering products that are easy to use and developing a brand that feels nice and welcoming. But we think there’s more to be done to fully deliver on crypto’s inclusion promises.
Many women have a strong voice in crypto, and we’re proud to have brought together more women than your average crypto team — from Okcoin’s CEO to our Head of Brand and Content to our Head of Brand Design to our Head of Compliance. But, still, crypto remains heavily male dominated. According to recent surveys, twice as many men as women invest in the space – a larger investing gap than what we see in traditional finance! 🤪
We’re looking to change this. Our $1 million commitment will fund initiatives that will make the crypto market more accessible to women and others currently on the sidelines of the traditional financial system.
On top of that, new members will join our brand advisory council to help us promote equity and inclusivity. 🚀
