You can now buy 8 additional tokens – Adventure Gold (AGLD), Bancor Network (BNT), DIA (DIA), Aavegotchi (GHST), Keep3rV1 (KP3R), Lido DAO (LDO), Perpetual Protocol (PERP), and Tellor (TRB) – on Okcoin. Here’s what these projects are all about, in simple terms. 👇
Adventure Gold (AGLD)
Adventure Gold is the governance token of the Lootverse ecosystem, which includes games, storylines, art, etc. relating to the “Loot for Adventures” NFT collection. Currently, AGLD is the community governance token used in the off-chain community governance process.
Bancor Network (BNT)
Bancor Network is a decentralized exchange (DEX) that utilizes an automated market-making (AMM) mechanism. Having launched in 2017, Bancor is an OG in the DeFi space, and has sought to differentiate itself by providing single-sided liquidity pools. This allows interested customers to deposit only one token into a liquidity pool and earn rewards in the token they’ve provided, as well as BNT, via trading fees generated on Bancor.
DIA (Decentralized Information Asset) is a project that provides open-source data and oracle services across numerous L1s and L2s. It uses “scrapers” which pull information on crypto trading data, NFT floors, stock prices, and more from various exchanges and protocols. The DIA token is currently used for governance.
Aavegotchi is an open-source, community-owned NFT gaming protocol that seeks to enable true asset ownership for gamers. The GHST token governs the Aavegotchi universe, which features community games, a community-owned DEX, NFT lending, and Aavegotchi NFTs that can be experienced as digital pets.
Keep3r Network is a job registry where projects that need external developer operations support can connect with third parties capable of completing assignments. These assignments typically involve a smart contract that requires an external entity to complete an action, such as calling a function or completing a transaction. These assignments are known as “jobs,” and the third parties completing the jobs are known as “Keepers.”
Lido DAO (LDO)
Lido DAO governs one of the most popular liquid staking options for Proof-of-Stake blockchains. It’s best known for its ETH 2.0 offerings, but has also expanded to Solana, Polygon, Polkadot, and Kusama. Lido’s token (LDO) is the governance token and is also privy to revenue generated by the DAO.
Perpetual Protocol (PERP)
Perpetual Protocol (PERP) is an on-chain derivatives decentralized exchange (DEX) offering long and/or short positions. It is powered by a virtual automated market maker (vAMM) model with no order book. This mechanism is meant for trading perpetual contracts as opposed to token swaps. PERP primarily serves as a governance token, however, holders that migrate PERP tokens to Optimism and stake tokens can receive boosted votes and staking rewards.
Tellor is a decentralized oracle protocol that aggregates and connects real-world data and APIs to smart contracts. Tellor provides infrastructure for dApps by using reward mechanisms to incentivize data providers. TRB can be used for reporter staking, paying for query fees, paying for dispute fees, voting, ands governance.
